Infinite Terrain

One of the questions we were asked by our client concerning Treadport was "what if I dont want to play your game?"....What?..... What if you don’t want to play your game? The concern of our client actually was a very valid one.  Every game we make for them has to have dual purposes. It has to serve our purpose(to make a game) but it also has to let them set the terms for the experience.  They may want to play or they may not.  In others words, play the game or just use the world we’ve given you for a pretty place while walking around.

We want to incorporate a mode where the player can walk out of the playing field and the game will produce terrain to walk on infinitely.  This makes the world very open for the player and if that’s what they want to do, we’ve addressed that.  We will also produce random Snipes on the infinite terrain for players to chase……….if they choose.

 The customer is always right….but it is still funny.
